A jelly is a type of Namu that had it's entire original body crushed or destroyed in a similar fashion. When a person dies this way, the respawning machine does not really have a body to base the Namu off of, therefore, it creates a mass of jelly that becomes the body for the Namu. These kinds of Namus can turn into goop to prevent crushing. However, if jellys have a missing body part, say the arms or legs, then in order to regain that body part they would have to turn a different body part into jelly and use that to regain the other body part.
